Feng Shui Houses
One of the things that makes feng shui homes different from other houses is that they are designed around the premise of the bagua. This is an eight-sided map that coincides with your home in general as well as with each individual room. Each side of the bagua also coincides with one of the hexagrams of the I Ching (or Book of Changes). As you look at your home in respect to the bagua, check for any missing spaces you may have (oftentimes due to irregular shapes in your floorplan). If this is the case with your home, a cure can help. Peaceful Living has a collection of cures for different uses and areas of your home. Our cure kit contains a few commonly used items to help with a variety of feng shui needs. Achieving Feng Shui in Each Room As you walk into each room of your home, lay your bagua board or imaginary bagua out. The door through which you enter is in the North gua. Look at each area in conjunction with the map and see if the structure of your home is conducive to peaceful living. If you have any large beams or sharp corners, a cure can help to alleviate this negative energy, or sha. Start slowly. If you do too much at one time, you might not be able to tell what is working and what is not. Take a particular area of your life and work with that first. Make a change by either adding or taking away something in a room and see what happens after a few days or weeks. If the desired result is reached, move on to the next area. If something happens that you don't like, go back and make a different change.
